MSLD Chemistry Lab Intern

The intern will participate in a hands-on analytical chemistry project focused on the analysis of various types of samples using multiple techniques, such as inductively-coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) and ion chromatography (IC). Responsibilities may include preparing chemical solutions, performing instrument quality control (QC) checks, assisting with analytical instrument setup and operation, analyzing data, and contributing to the preparation of a final report. 

Desired Background: Undergraduate or graduate student in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or a related field. Coursework or experience in analytical chemistry is preferred. Familiarity with lab safety and basic instrumentation is a plus. 

Ideal Candidate: Detail-oriented, enthusiastic about hands-on lab work, with good communication skills and the ability to follow technical instructions.
